Nicole Calvento is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist who received her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy in California State University, Northridge (2015). Nicole began her journey as a clinician with Tarzana Treatment Centers, working with individuals with a dual diagnosis and also worked with transitional age youth at the Alliance Community Empowerment. Nicole has also enjoyed working with transitional age youths from Alliance Community Empowerment (ACE), where she has helped create a safe space for students and assist them in recognizing their remarkable resilience.

As the years progressed, Nicole has worked towards the private practice route and during the pandemic, has found an increasing passion towards working with a whole new population… the Filipino community. With the rise of awareness towards mental health, Nicole found the importance to normalizing therapy within the Filipino community, and to bringing more understanding towards the different values, beliefs, traditions, and cultural experiences that have left impacts on the collective mental health as a community.  Nicole hopes to not only continue to contribute in addressing mental health in the Filipino community, but to also bring general awareness on how better understanding ourselves and our emotions can lead us one step closer to creating a more fulfilling life.
